Board Description

Fun and high-performance surfing in small and sloppy waves is what the Wabi has been designed for.

A combination of flat rockers, bottom contours and fuller rails and outline allows this board to inject every session with more joy.

Waves

This board is designed for waves from 2 to 3 ft.

Sizing

Size this board about 1 or 2″ shorter than your height and go over in volume about 1 L. If you get one in eps/epoxy you could ride your std dims.

Tech Specs

Rocker

Flat rocker throughout to give the board tons of speed and drive. This is why you want to ride it shorter than your normal board to get more maneuverability.

Concave

The concave in this board is designed to maximize lift to plane through sections. It starts flat and goes into a double within a single concave that starts around the middle of the board increasing its depth through the fins to increase the lift and loose the tail. It ends with a V bottom behind the back fin to be able to turn sharper in the smaller spaces given by the waves it is designed for.

Rails

Rails carry plenty of volume, making the board stable and buoyant to minimize bog.

Outline

The outline is fuller than the IKi in the nose and tail but the curve of the tail of this board is pulled in a bit to help cope with the extra width.

Fuller outline increases the surface area of the board to help you paddle faster and plane easier on the wave.

Video Review

This is a clip form a session we recorded at Bilgola Beach. We think the Wabi is perfect for sub optimal wave conditions because it helps you generate speed and drive. Sometimes enough to pull one of these. Check it out:
