I'd been surfing for about 15 years when I got coached by Freddy. He helped me unlock a whole new dimension to my surfing, a deeper level of understanding and performing of the fundamental biomechanics, first on land via surf skate then in the ocean and pool with video analysis. He has a really clear and simple way of breaking down each maneuver and what you need to do in terms of movement and why, ie. what it will mean on the wave in terms of performance. I've also bought a handful of boards from him. Getting a board from someone who knows how and where you surf takes all the guesswork out of choosing the right shape and sizing to meet your surfing where it's at.
